For a Wednesday in November, a team of four women convened for the workshop into the Latina Center nestled behind the Barrett Avenue Christian Church in Richmond. The workshop that is weekly a session of ‘Ya Basta! Juntos Terminemos la Violencia Familiar’—or as numerous within the grouped community understand it, ‘Enough! Together We Could End Family Violence.’

Ya Basta! facilitator Alicia Rodriguez greeted the ladies going into the space having a warm embrace, gestured in order for them to sit back, and asked exactly how all of them had been doing simply because they last came across.

Some gently mentioned weekend plans; other people raised custody battles, restraining instructions and future court times.

Across Richmond plus in Contra Costa County, companies such as the Latina Center give you a safe haven for ladies whom encounter indications of domestic physical violence and now have nowhere to show. “Movie: A domestic violence system struggles to help keep doorways available despite increasing reports of punishment”の続きを読む
